Yesterday we received our first Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-in-training. His name is Channing, and he's a yellow Labrador Retriever. He has a lighter colored stripe on his side. It reminds me of a tiger stripe. He still learning, but I think that he's going to turn out to be a great guide dog someday. This is a picture of Me,Erin(my co-raiser), and Channing.
When I get my puppy I'm going to co-raise with another puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind named Erin. Co-raising is where you have the pup for part of the time and the other raiser has it the rest of the time. An advantage to co-raising with Erin is that she can do things like take the pup on buses, socialize to traffic, etc. that we can't do because I have younger siblings.
So if you have any question just put them in my comments and I'll answer them.
